You are welcome to bring your own umbrellas and chairs to Rehoboth Beach, but please be sure that personal umbrellas are no wider than 8-foot and no taller than 7’6”. Also, note that tents and canopies are not permitted on Rehoboth Beach. Baby tents up to 36” high x 36” wide x 36” deep are permitted. Check out other beach and boardwalk guidelines.

Beach Equipment For Rent
Beach essentials – such as umbrellas, chairs, and other beach equipment – may be rented in season from concession locations scattered along Rehoboth Beach. Two companies, Catts Beach Service and Lynams Beach Service, have contracted with the City of Rehoboth Beach to provide equipment for a daily, weekly, or seasonal fee.
These services are provided directly on the beach with attendants who set up equipment upon your arrival and remove it when you’re ready to go. No reservations are required or accepted. The two beach service companies contracted with the city have the same rates and policies. Payment is accepted via cash or check. No refunds are issued, and equipment may not be transferred to others.
Where To Rent Equipment
Equipment is available for rent from beach shacks set up at most dune crossing access points.
Hours of Operation
No later than the third Friday in May to at least the third Monday after Labor Day.
Weekdays: 9 am-5 pm
Weekends and holidays: 9 am-5:30 pm
