Experience Rehoboth Beach
There’s A LOT to see and do in Rehoboth Beach off the beach as well. What is it you love to do? Chances are great that you’ll find something (else) you love in the Rehoboth Beach area.

Get Your Shopping and Dining On
Unique shops and fun boutiques along with an array of tasty restaurants are scattered throughout the city, with most concentrated in the downtown commercial district, which includes all of Rehoboth Avenue and along the boardwalk as well as the first two blocks (from the ocean) from Baltimore Avenue to Wilmington Avenue. Both the Chamber of Commerce and Main Street Rehoboth Beach websites provide more information about the city’s shops and restaurants. Several restaurants offer outdoor dining as well.
When you feel like shopping “big,” Tanger Outlets are located just north of the city limits on Route 1.
Rehoboth Beach provides a wide variety of accommodations for visitors, from vacation homes and cottages for rent to hotels, condo units, inns, and guest homes. You can find information about accommodations on the Chamber of Commerce website and through various local realtors.
That’s Entertainment
Throughout the summer season, from mid-June through Labor Day weekend, the Rehoboth Beach Bandstand hosts free open-air concerts featuring an eclectic mix of musical performers. Concerts take place at 8 pm every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday throughout the summer season. The bandstand is located at the ocean end of Rehoboth Avenue. Rehoboth’s summer concert series tradition is 60+ years strong – and counting. Check out who’s performing next.
Several restaurants and clubs offer live entertainment as well as cocktails, music, and dancing – particularly in season. Several breweries are located in town and nearby as well.

Au Naturel
If you want to get out and enjoy nature, you’re in the right place! Rehoboth Beach lies between two popular state parks. Combined Cape Henlopen State Park and Delaware Seashore State Park offer hiking/biking trails, fishing, bird-watching, and beach access.
Be sure to check out Rehoboth’s parks, too, which provide playgrounds, natural areas to relax or take a walk, pavilions available for rent, and more.
Pedal Power
Rehoboth Beach is proud to be a bicycle-friendly community and fortunate to have accessibility to some of the region’s loveliest bike trails.
- Enjoy a bike ride along the hardwood and pine forests, open fields, and coastal marshes of the Junction Breakwater Trail.
- Pedal around Gordons Pond as you make your way toward Lewes through the diverse ecosystems of Cape Henlopen State Park. From Lewes, you can connect to the Junction Breakwater Trail and loop you way back to Rehoboth Beach.
- The Georgetown-Lewes Trail, which follows the rail bed of the former Delaware Coast Line Railroad, can be accessed in Lewes via the Junction & Breakwater Trail as well.

DelDOT’s Bike at the Beach map provides information about suggested routes and roads to avoid when possible.

HeART-ful
If you’re feeling creative or you appreciate creativity, definitely check out the exhibits, events, and classes offered by the Rehoboth Art League.
Hook, Line, and Sinker
Within the City of Rehoboth Beach, fishing is permitted from the Children’s Fishing Pier, located on Lake Gerar near the intersection of 1st Street and Lake Avenue. Fishing on the beach is permitted in a designated area at the north end of the beach. Fishing also is permitted only in the designated area on the Grove Park Canal Dock. A Delaware fishing license is required for all residents ages 16-64 and for non-residents who are 16 and older.

Get into the Swing of Things
A variety of public and private golf courses are just minutes away. If you’re more into a short game, check out one of the Rehoboth area’s several miniature golf courses.
Tennis and pickleball courts are available on a first-come, first-served basis at Rehoboth Elementary School and may be rented at nearby Deauville Beach.
Dive into History
Located at 511 Rehoboth Avenue near the traffic circle, the Rehoboth Beach Historical Society and Museum brings the city’s history to life with exhibits, artifacts, events, and programming.
A part of Cape Henlopen State Park, the Fort Miles Museum and Historical Area in Lewes includes a gun battery, six barracks buildings, fire control tower, orientation building, and artillery park. The fort was built during World War II as part of the nation’s coastal defense.

Get Fresh
The Rehoboth Beach Farmers Market is open from 10 am-2 pm Tuesdays May-October, rain or shine, at Grove Park. Vendors provide fresh, in-season produce as well as baked goods, jams and jellies, handcrafts, flowers, prepared foods, herbs, meats, and more.
Read Between the Lines
The Rehoboth Beach Public Library, at 226 Rehoboth Avenue, loans materials to visitors and non-residents for a limited time for a small fee.
