All businesses located within the city limits of Rehoboth Beach as well as contractors and companies who provide products or services within the City of Rehoboth Beach corporate limits must have a current City of Rehoboth Beach business license.
Business licenses are valid from January 1-December 31 and must be renewed annually. The city sends out renewal notifications to all licensed businesses in the fall.
How to Apply / Renew Your Business License
Complete the Appropriate Form
Select and complete the application that is appropriate to your business.
Include Any Additional Required Documents
All businesses obtaining or renewing a business license with the City of Rehoboth Beach must submit:

- a copy of their current State of Delaware business license

- a certificate of liability insurance listing the City of Rehoboth Beach as a certificate holder

- a copy of any professional trade license that is required by the State of Delaware.
In addition:

- Businesses located within the city limits must complete an emergency notification form.

- Real estate agents and brokers must provide a copy of their State of Delaware real estate license.

- Businesses within the city limits that manufacture or sell alcohol must provide a copy of their State of Delaware liquor license. A certificate of compliance may also be required.

Credit card payments are accepted in the building and licensing department, on the second floor of City Hall, from 9 am-4 pm weekdays; a 2.5% convenience fee is added for credit card payments.
