Rehoboth Beach utilizes polyester mesh mats, or mobi mats, to aid with accessibility at our dune crossings. Utilized during the summer season, the mats make it easier for those in wheelchairs and others with mobility issues to access the beach. Additional mats are used to enhance access at Maryland Avenue and Laurel Street.

Wheelchairs designed for the beach are available for free on a first-come, first-served basis from the Rehoboth Beach Patrol in season. Reservations are not accepted. Beach wheelchairs are available at beach shacks located at Maryland Avenue and Laurel Street.
Wheelchairs are available from 10 am-5 pm daily during the season. Contact the beach patrol at 302-227-2280 for additional sign-out information.
