Wastewater Operator I

Under the supervision of a Level 4 wastewater operator performs a variety of tasks in the operation and maintenance of wastewater treatment facilities, including the treatment plant and collection system. Operates motorized equipment including but not limited to dump trucks, forklifts and tractors. Repairs and maintains pumps, motors and other equipment. Inspects, cleans, and maintains collections system, including manholes, sewer lines, and lift equipment. Monitors and controls all plant processes including pump flow rates, chemical feed rates, and bio solids inventory. Maintains detailed records and logs of plant operation and maintenance.
