
While parking is free in Rehoboth Beach most of the year, parking meters and permits are in effect May 15-September 15.
The City of Rehoboth Beach Parking Department, located at 1 City Hall Drive behind 30 Lake Avenue, is open year-round. Department hours are:
- 8 am-10 pm daily (lobby closes at 6 pm) May 15-September 15
- 8 am-4 pm Monday-Friday (lobby closes at 3:45 pm) September 16-May 14

Important things to know
- Parking on any public street or in any public parking lot in Rehoboth Beach requires some form of payment from May 15-September 15.
- Permits are required in designated areas from 10 am-5 pm.
- Payment in metered areas is required from 10 am-10 pm.
- Permits are not valid in metered spaces.
- Head-in parking is required in all angled and perpendicular parking spaces. (Properly identified handicap-accessible vehicles are exempt from the head-in requirement.)
- Vehicles with a handicap placard or plate must pay meter fees or have a valid parking permit.
- Payment is required at 30-minute spaces during the parking season.
- Parking fees are nonrefundable.
- The City of Rehoboth Beach is not responsible for lost or stolen permits and will not replace them.
