
Parking permits are required in all non-metered areas of the city from 10 am-5 pm May 15-September 15.
- Vehicles with handicap permits must have a parking permit (or pay meter fees).
- Parking fees are nonrefundable. The City of Rehoboth Beach is not responsible for lost or stolen parking permits.
- Overnight parking (midnight-6 am) is not permitted on East Lake Drive, Queen Street, and Prospect Street from May 14-September 30.

Parking Permits for Visitors
Parking permits are required from 10 am-5 pm daily in all non-metered areas of the city from May 15-September 15.
Parking permits may be purchased from:
- The parking department at 1 City Hall Drive behind 30 Lake Avenue.
- Seasonal parking permits are available beginning the first Monday in April.
- Parking kiosks located near entrances to the city from 8:30 am-2:45 pm daily, weather permitting, during the summer season.
- 408 Rehoboth Avenue after crossing the drawbridge on Route 1A and going through the traffic circle.
- 700 block of Bayard Avenue between Norfolk and Stockley streets.
Parking Permits for Rehoboth Beach Residents
Parking permits are required from 10 am-5 pm daily in non-metered areas of the city from May 15-September 15.
Two Annual, Transferable Parking Permits Free to Property Owners
Each March, the City of Rehoboth Beach mails current property owners two transferable parking permits (hanging tags) for the upcoming summer season. These permits are free for property owners. Property owners may purchase additional non-transferable parking permits.
Transferable parking permits must be returned to the city manager’s office upon sale of a property.
Non-Transferable Permits Also Available
In addition, property owners may request one free non-transferable parking permit (a window sticker) for each vehicle registered in the property owner’s name and up to two scooter permits. Required information for each non-transferable permit requested includes:
- proof of vehicle registration
Paperwork and forms for residential non-transferable permits may be placed in the dropbox outside of the City Hall entrance.
Lost & Stolen Parking Permits
Lost or stolen permits will not be replaced.
