Summer Fun!

The City of Rehoboth Beach offers free recreational programming that brings creativity, activity, camaraderie, and fun to the summer months for residents and visitors of all ages.

2025 Programming at Grove Park by Day of the Week

Mondays

Arts and craft activities for children ages 2 to 12 years old will take place from 9-10 am Mondays, June 9 through August 18, at Grove Park. Please be on time to guarantee participation as class materials are limited.

Tuesdays

From 6-7 pm Tuesdays, June 10 through August 19, folks of all ages can walk or jog for the health of it with the Grove Walking & Jogging Club. Meet at Grove Park.

Wednesdays

Arts and craft activities for children ages 2 to 12 years old will take place from 9-10 am Wednesdays, June 11 through August 20, at Grove Park. Please be on time to guarantee participation as class materials are limited.

Thursdays

On Thursdays, special programming for all ages will be offered from 9-10 am at Grove Park.

  • Hands-on environmental education activities offered by Envirotech June 26, July 24, and August 21.
  • Kite-making, sponsored by Rehoboth Toy & Kite Company, will take place July 3 and August 7.
  • Magic Jack will perform a magic show June 19, July 10, and July 31.
  • Storytime Yoga with local author Hiba Stancofski is scheduled for June 12, July 17, and August 14.

Fridays

Face painting with artist Stephanie Shuttleworth will take place from 9-10 am Fridays, June 27, July 25, and August 22, at Grove Park.

Every Day

For free-play time, enjoy the city’s playgrounds located at:

  • Grove Park, at the traffic circle as you enter Rehoboth Beach, has:
    • tot lot
    • fitness stations
    • shuffleboard
    • pavilions (available on a first-come basis when not rented)
    • public restrooms.
  • Lake Gerar is at Lake Avenue between 1st Street and Lakeview Street.
  • Silver Lake is between Stockley Street and Rehoboth Elementary School. (Be sure to get in some fun turtle watching from the bridge.)

In addition, the City of Rehoboth Beach provides two volleyball courts on the beach at Hickman Street. The courts are available free of charge throughout the season on a first-come, first-served basis.
